About Us

Experience, knowledge and lived understanding

Your Allied Health Service’s courses and resources have been developed by Tracee, an experienced Speech Pathologist, Guidance Counsellor, Educator and Clinical Director with more than 30 years of experience across health, disability and education.

Tracee began her professional career in nursing before moving into speech pathology, where she developed extensive experience supporting children, adults and families across the lifespan. Her postgraduate studies and professional interests have included autism, play-based childhood development, dysphagia and swallowing, learning difficulties, neurological and acquired conditions, guidance and counselling, and inclusive education.

Throughout her career, Tracee has supported thousands of individuals and families while also working alongside educators, carers, support workers and other professionals. Her experience extends beyond direct clinical practice to mentoring, education and professional development, giving her a strong understanding of the importance of turning clinical knowledge into information that people can actually understand and use.

Knowledge that works in everyday life

The courses and resources available through Your Allied Health Service have been created from Tracee's belief that valuable knowledge shouldn't remain confined to textbooks, clinical rooms or professional reports.

Whether someone is a parent trying to better support their child, a carer learning how to respond safely, an educator supporting communication in the classroom, or a professional developing their skills, information needs to be clear, practical and relevant to real life.

Tracee combines clinical knowledge, decades of professional experience and lived experience of disability to develop training and resources that are accessible, respectful and grounded in the realities faced by individuals, families and the people who support them.

A commitment to inclusion

After being diagnosed with a progressive physical disability in 2017, Tracee gained another perspective on healthcare, disability, accessibility and the systems people must navigate to receive appropriate support.

This lived experience, together with her clinical and educational background, continues to shape her commitment to inclusion, accessibility, ethical practice and person-centred support.

Tracee is passionate about helping people feel more informed and confident — whether that means understanding communication differently, supporting someone who uses AAC, recognising swallowing and choking risks, developing practical skills, or simply having access to information that makes everyday situations a little easier to navigate.

Why YAHS/Go Get Informed?

The goal is simple: to make useful professional knowledge accessible to the people who need it.

Through practical courses, professional development and easy-to-use resources, Tracee aims to give families, carers, educators and professionals knowledge they can take beyond the course and confidently apply in everyday life.
